The official title of the song is A Dreamer's Holiday but my dad used to sing me and my sister to sleep with it when we were children and it will ever be Climb Aboard A Butterfly to me. I think he sang it to his grandchildren and know he sang it for his great grandchildren when they asked him too. I will probably be continuing the tradition with his great, great grandchildren since he is no longer here to sing it to them. l know I sang it to the first one of them today as she turned one month old and I saw this butterfly outside of her house
What a wonderful tradition to carry on! 🦋💓 And so perfect to have that butterfly visit!
My daughter remembers him singing it and I think he also sang to her babies. (I had bedtime stories instead of singing!)
Such a beautiful connection for you with the song, your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and your father. That is the kind of tradition that can't be bought or manufactured. And how nice that this butterfly should appear on the day you sing it to the next generation!
@wyomingsis I think he didn't sing it much to my children for bedtime but I know he sang it for them as adults and for their children. @milaniet thank you for saying so Milanie @shutterbug49 Aww thanks Debbie that means a lot @corinnec so glad you do Corinne thank you @olivetreeann You are so right Ann.
