Something I painted for the Artsy Gang and I decided to use it here today as well as a still life for the Flash of Red week

Great still life. It's amazing how certain photos that you'd think should be in color, look so good in B&W. Love the black background.

i don't know how you did your lighting here, but it looks like the brushes and the tube of paint are floating and not touching the artwork. aces!

Stunning on black! The composition is spot on, as usual, with the inclusion of and placement of the tube of paint and the brushes. For me, the perfect touch is the way you have the sketchbook pages not lined up! Mwah!
