Not Quite

When I saw this today it reminded me of the artist challenge http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/19153/new-artist-challenge-aaron-siskind but after looking at about 800 of his photos I couldn't find one that was like this! Since it reminds me of his work I am going to post it anyway.

Still a good shot! I was looking at his photos too in hopes of entering it in the competition. I took several pictures of my feet, but was not successful. It wasn't as easy as it looked ;D

@deburahiru Thanks, Deb. nothing to lose by entering is there? This one may not be dark enough to qualify though!

Very nice. I think it's a good choice, and I looked through some of his work, very interesting

@kwiksilver Well aren't you just the nicest? thanks so much, Gillian.

@digitalrn I appreciate that support, Rick. His work is a little strange to me.

that's fair enough Katy, his work became more about abstract expressionism so perhaps googling a painter like franz Kline would help you understand where he was coming from. I think if you cropped it a bit more to focus on the play of light and shade and the peeling paint you would be onto it,

@kali66 Thanks, Kali for the advice. I really liked the light and shadow but for some strange reason I also liked the vine in the upper left corner too. Since someone has FAVed this I am going to leave it as is for today but may re-edit it for another shot at the contest. Thanks again.

800! Wow! That's alot! I like this pic...I like all the straits lines and right angles, and then that dangly twig chiming down. I also like how the shadow line comes down through the bottom right corner and points out the soft shrubby plant.

@espyetta ♥ Those are all the things I liked about it! thanks for affirming my choice!

@grammyn great minds think alike? It could have used a man making soup in the bottom left corner though! BwahahahahahHaha!
