Very good, Valerie. I just read a book called Elephant Company, about using elephants to build bridges in Burma during World War II. It was very interesting and gave me a huge appreciation for those magnificent beasts. At one point the elephants had to climb over a steep mountain on small steps. To do that the elephants would put two feet up on a step and then carefully bring the back feet up until all four feet were balancing on the small area. The elephant would repeat this process until it got over the top. Your photo reminds me of the description of the elephants climbing the mountain. And yet it's only a tree.
@mbemis Thank you Mannie, we had a stopover in Bangkok once & were taken straight to where an Elephant was chained by one leg & "danced" for everyone. After, we looked back & saw this beautiful creature rocking back & forth because he had "nowhere" to go except back & forth. Very sad as they are so intelligent.
