Blue Tongue Lizard ~

Shifted the rubbish bin to take out for collection & this beautiful lizard was underneath & cross at being disturbed, my camera was handy & I managed to catch him with his tongue out.

oh no he was hurt? did you check him and call a wildlife rescue? They are such beautiful placid lizards and are at such threat from the cane toads. That is a totally awesome image showing the entire tongue, never seen anything like it!

@koalagardens Thanks for liking my capture. We thought we hurt him as his head went up with full tongue out, after we stood off he walked over quite well & went under the hot water system..We have a whole family of them but, have not seen them under the bin before....we love them too.
