Snowless winter

Capture taken from the train window. At the edge of the tree line you can see three Cranes that did not fly away for the winter.

I love the stark feeling and the movement - then spotting those cranes was like a bonus :) if the cranes didn't leave will they manage ok?

They have a great chance, especially that the last winter was very mild. With us, many people help animals to survive this difficult time. Especially when storks come and winter is coming back there is a mass feeding of birds.

It may be snowless, but it is certainly wintery. The fields are barren and branches are bare.
