The flowers of Helleborus niger commonly called Christmas rose bloom in winter, but this one seems to be a little late. At least awakened insects have where to fly.

it is a very pretty rose, and I am sure most welcome whenever it decides to bloom. I like the slightly soft, naturally framed and perfectly focused look.
