A visit to Old Sturbridge Village was on the agenda for the first day of our mini tour away from Cape Cod. We had planned our trip around the fall season in Massachusetts but the unseasonable warm weather for October meant that the frost needed to produce the vibrant red colours had not taken place.
The trees and scenery was very pretty in this reconstructed village and after watching the cows being milked, the oxen plough and the saw mill in action, my husband and father-in-law elected for a ride around the common in an early 19th century reproduction stagecoach. I was happy to watch, and take a 5 minute breather with my camera.
@onewing I had to do a lot of reassuring that I really didn't want a ride! @okc553 many thanks Tom @moonmtn father-in-law certainly enjoyed it @kwind thank you. I waited for the carriage to get round to that tree which had such beautiful light shining through it.
