Walking in Winter Wonderland

Not really winter, but that is how it appears. This is my second attempt at using selective colour on one of my recent photographs. I am happy that this use of the technique enhances the scene, just bringing the figure slightly more into the picture which helps to balance things out in the composition given her closeness to the edge.

Admittedly the colour is the smallest amount, but I think, enough.
Very effective - can just see the colour in the scarf! Looks like a real European winter scene!

well it's wonderfully composed, and yes i agree that the colour in the figure enhances the image and is kind of intriguing

Very nice- the coloring is perfect because it really draws attention to her. Well done!

It works well -- and balance is the exact word I'd used to describe the way you've composed it.

Not an obvious choice for sc, but it works really well.

Sometimes subtle can catch and hold the attention simply because it is subtle. Excellent.

Just a hint of colour adds promise of brighter days to such a bleak scene

It is very intriguing to me how effective that little bit of colour is. I kind of focus on her walking out of the frame. Love the processing too. Fab.

Classic...where is she going?...we don't know, but the image poses the question...well composed...fav

I like the painterly effect. I find that this scene looks and feels harsh and soulless (the empty benches the coldness of the snow...) and yet so beautiful at the same time....if that makes any sense? The hints of colour in the lady work well too I think.
