51. crossing

With cards to post today, I took a walk town-wards instead country-wards.

It is now 8 weeks since I took this route which would normally lead me into the office. The embankment spring floral displays which are always such a delight, have been and gone in this time - largely missed. I wonder if the council will plant for the summer this year?

Delightfully, today was a day for reflection collecting so I enjoyed instead, the patterns, colours and distortions in the river, and collected a few half and half captures along the way.

It seemed busy for a town with so many restrictions. Plenty of traffic on the roads, and the odd cyclist commuter passing me by.

Apparently we are about to have a drive to encourage people to walk or cycle to work as we cross over from the stay at home, save lives, save the NHS phase, to - well, goodness knows what!

Works so well!

A lovely pattern/reflection shot that reminds us of the beauty of clear blue water. Good luck with a sane opening, only when it's safe. A bit worrisome as this is being debated here and some states are moving forward to open even as numbers are climbing. Good luck to your setting!

It's all very curious. The first time I went out and about in my car a few weeks ago I was utterly shocked to see life going on as usual (on the surface anyway).

Wow, you sure have a great eye for reflections. I studied this wonderful image for quite a while...the cyclist adds a vibrant touch of color and life; and the bit of abstract feel pairs perfectly with your curiosity about the future.

You have such a good eye for these reflection shots. I like the geometric pattern, the pop of color from the cyclist's helmet and blue of the sky in the water. Well done!
