Saturday was spent mostly indoors and after the excitement of the day before, I had a bit of a lie in and then it was back to mundane tasks such as scrubbing floors.
I did spent an unfruitful time trying to turn a few badly taken snaps from the street event into a presentable set to share with others. If there is one thing that I am persistently bad at, it is trying to take candid or even more so posed, pictures of groups of people whilst at the same time socialising. For one thing, I had a glass of pimms in one hand, for another I was constantly checking that I remained 2m apart from everyone at all times and thirdly, it was bright sunshine in the middle of the day.
I have had to dip into Saturday's morning walk photos to fill this slot. On our way back from the walk, we paused at a gap in the hedge and I said to M, the light is always good here, then took this simple photo - red campion I think.
Helen Jane, I smiled so much as I envisaged you trying to take the photographs you described. It definitely would have been a tricky task to get the photos you might have seen in your minds eyes. I have to say that the photo you have given us here though is beautiful. The pop of pink against the green is delightful and it has such great Bokeh.
ha red campion indeed - i only know this as when mr g and i were out cycling we came across fields of this and i looked it up on our return. it's rather beautiful, close up and from a distance. you're right by the look of it that the light is always good there - and the bokeh ;)
