@helenhall I read it about 25 years ago so a bit vague now. It is a bit disjointed on occasion if I remember rightly but interesting. It is about the 'bright young things' the nickname for Bohemian socialites in the 1920s. I think Stephen Fry directed a movie of the book about 15 years ago also called Bright Young Things.

i've seen that 'vile bodies' book once at a garage sale and i was rather amused. of course, i grew up learning mostly similar ways and concoctions so i didn't get the book. but yours would have a far more intrinsic and sentimental value. very nice composition. i love it!
