Today M & I completed our fourth walk in a series of 5 to cover our nearby Greensand Ridge long distance path.
It is a bit of a stretch to call it a long distance path because it only covers 40 miles. Today's 10 mile stretch took us much of the day - stopping for coffee, and a picnic lunch, as well as a spot of blackberry picking!
Whilst I carried my camera with me, I didn't use it much - it is a job to keep the pace. A good section of our walk went through arable fields, most of which had been harvested. A couple of fields beyond this had several deer that leapt through the long wheat when they saw us coming. I didn't have a long lens to catch them with though.
So pleased that my knee has held out through this walking with only the slightest of twinges towards the end of the walk. We are in training to walk the South part of the half of the Masar Ibrahim trail come November. We are going to have to up our game a bit, since this holiday will cover 12-16 miles daily for 10 days on hilly and stony ground.
I love the feel of this shot. If it was here in Northeastern Pennsylvania, you'd be hearing crickets chirping. Good for you on keeping the pace- I would succumb to the camera.
