From celebration to mourning

Just three months ago we celebrated nationwide and in our street, the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Today, we are in shock at the announcement of her death after 70 years of dedicated and loyal service.

I don't follow the ins and out of the Royal family, nor much care what each of them is up to day by day. But I did respect the Queen and how she upheld her faith.

It is a sad day.
She had a remarkable long reign and worked up until her frail body gave out. Elizabeth is with her Prince again. May they rest together in peace.
I have been watching the sad news unfold all morning in the USA.
