Kids fed, clothed and packed off to school, hens, ducks, gerbils and dogs fed, watered and walked, dishwasher emptied, washing machine filled, school governors' meeting completed, e-mails answered...and it's time to sit down and write - with a cup of tea, of course, and oops, did I just eat another of those cookies? That can't be the boys home from school, can it? I swear on writing days the clock jumps straight from 10 to 3.30 in a single tick.
