The sun was shining and I I took Will and three of his friends - and the dogs, of course - to Harlton woods for the afternoon. The woods are in an old clunch pit - clunch is a kind of clay-y chalk that used to be used for building - so there are lots of steep banks and ridges. There are also lots of rope swings on the high branches. They had a great time swinging on the ropes, playing hide and seek and building dens (and chasing rabbits). I couldn't decide between these two pictures so have put them together - one to show the beauty of the woods and all the boys and the other the excitement of the rope swings (M is also for Mad Monkeys in Motion!)
I love that you put the two pictures together! On the left there's a nice feel for the area, and the right radiates the delight of a child on a swing. You captured the motion beautifully!
Wonderful, wish I had such nature fun when I was a kid!
