A Day Of Two Halves by helenmoss

A Day Of Two Halves

This morning was grey and rainy - perfect for the start of the football (soccer) season. I drove Will to his away match and watched his team play well and come away with a 2-1 win. Meanwhile Ed was refereeing his first game, which by all reports was a great success too. I'm so impressed; I'd be far too scared to be a referee, even for a kids' match - people take it very seriously!

This afternoon, the brass band Will plays in had a gig at a village fete nearby in Haslingfield. Miraculously the sun came out just before it started and it turned into a lovely summer afternoon. It was a lovely old-fashioned fete in the garden of the Old Vicarage. Will isn't visible in the photo - as the drummer, he is tucked away at the back.
Well done Wills winning your first game of the season, And also well done Ed I think you are very brave taking that job on , lovely shot Helen pity Wills isn't on it
