I know it's WAY too early for Christmas decorations, but these curtains of sparkly lights and shiny discs hanging the full height of four floors in John Lewis are so pretty, I couldn't resist. Those are the escalators in the background. I'd headed into town to escape the commotion of my brother-in-law ripping out the kitchen (not as part of a tumultuous family vendetta, I should add; he's a cabinet-maker doing some refitting for us!) So I took up residence in the John Lewis cafe with my trusty laptop and finished Book 4, Chapter 2!
Now that sounds like a great way to spend some time! I agree its way too early for decorations but at least these are pretty and tasteful and soooo John Lewis!
Ooh, pretty! Less than seven weeks til Christmas! No, I'm not counting, but it would have been my Grandad's birthday on Saturday and that was 7 weeks. :-)
Never too early for christmas!....being in a christmas-less country helps with the appreciation of constant carols and far too many fairylights...PS I am firmly in the you can never have to many fairylights camp ;)
Very pretty decorations, what a nice place to escape the kitchen chaos , and well done being able to concentrate on your writing . I would be tempted to look round the store.
Marvelous to see the start of the holidays beginning to fill the stores! In Naples, we walked down a long side street filled with nothing but creches and Christmas ornaments...bring it on! Good for you to be focusing on finishing your next book; I know your readers are waiting for a new installment! And thanks...I wish, too, I might have made some visits to 365 members during these travels, and we may yet if the right place and time come together! Unfortunately, England isn't on the list this time around, but thanks for the thought! (Say and read about your kitchen...won't it be just wonderful when completed?!)
