While the sawing and hammering goes on in the kitchen I escape in a rare moment of sunshine to walk the dogs. The red of the hawthorn berries against the blue sky looks too bright to be real, but this is straight out of the camera. Yet again, the blue sky pretends that it's warm and sunny; in fact it was blowing a gale and I had to wait for a nanosecond of calm between the gusts (and running after my hat which kept blowing away) for these berries in the hedgerow to stay still enough to catch in a photo.
