Anyone for Punting? by helenmoss

Anyone for Punting?

When you go to Paris you go up the Eiffel Tower. In Rome you visit the Colisseum. As a tourist in Cambridge you have to go punting on the river. Never mind if it's minus six and you have to break the ice on the Cam. This family were blue with cold even though they were tucked up under a blanket. The Mum was doing her best to put a brave face on it. "Never mind, children, you'll soon get over the frost-bite. Hypothermia? Don't be silly, dear!"
I cycled into town along the sheet ice of the cycle path to try to get some writing done. The post-Christmas chaos of wrapping paper and half-eaten boxes of chocolates strewn all over the house is not very conducive to getting on with work.
I've done it, but in summer. It looks lovely in winter too!

What a fantastic capture ---- tourists tend to leave their brains at the airport!
