See You Next Christmas

Packing away the Christmas decorations is always a little sad. These are some of my favourite 1950s ones that Grandma gave me.. They are very fragile and shatter if you look at them too hard so they don't go on the tree where they at the mercy of dogs' waggy tails and boys' waggy limbs. They have their own special place in the glass light fitting above the table. But now they are wrapped up in newspaper and packed away in a box for the long hibernation until next December...they've been doing it for 60 years so they must be used to it by now.
It is a sad time , every thing looks so bare when all the decorations go. Glad you have still got the ones my mum gave you

Packng up is always a bit sad! But the fun of antisipation can start almost straight away.

Pretty, love the background. I still need to take everything down too. It's always sort of sad.

Very pretty shot - and very warm looking in your house!! I like getting the decorations out but I like putting them away again and getting the house back too!!

Beautiful shot. I packed away Christmas on Sunday but today found a few things I'd missed. They are on the window sill behind the curtain. I think I'll leave them there a little longer1
