Apricot Blossom by helenmoss

Apricot Blossom

There's a single apricot tree in our field. The poor thing is made for warmer climes. Its delicate blossom begins to bud in early spring and is often destroyed by frost.
How beautiful.

If I might suggest...tie frost cloth over it for a while 'til you think it is safe and as long as the wee bees can get in...bring on autumn! Yum.

I can empathise with this tree, I am sure I was made for warmer climes too! Very lovely, does it actually produce any apricots??

Im with Darrell - it may look odd but fleece could do the trick. My neighbour's peach tree crops very rarely but when it does......gorgeous! Pretty buds - hope last night didn't do for it!

Lovely shot, I hope it fruits this year. So difficult for the polination to happen when it's planted in the wrong climate.
