One of the only photos I took on 17th August. A selection of the cookery books on my dresser - I took the picture to illustrate a blog post I'm writing about the importmance of food in children's books - hence the inclusion here of the little-known Redwall cookery book - Redwall is a series of children's books written by Brian Jaques, all about clans of animals battling to save Redwall Abbey - they spent so much time having banquets and feasts, the author released his own cook book!
