I had a brilliant day in Norwich at a writing workshop. We did a lot of writing, a lot of laughing and a lot of cake-eating. And, as if that wasn't already the makings of a perfect day, I also got to walk through beautiful Norwich from the station to the venue (I got lost, which made it a lovely long walk).
Norwich is stuffed full of beautiful old buildings, quaint lanes, and riverside scenes, but I couldn't help admiring the sunlight streaming over the gorgeous violet paint of this nightclub - although a nightclub advertising cheap drinks (double up for £1 it says on the sign) calling itself 'Rehab' is something of a sick joke (often, quite literally I imagine...). Perhaps that's why the curry restaurant next door has shut up shop?
That's not PC is it?! Pretty shot but I can imagine what the poor curry house had to put up with! I've been lost in a car many a time in Norwich - horrified the kids once by going in a Betting Shop for directions - but I do love the city.
That pretty sunflare doesn't make it less appealing, either.
