Reflected Glory

Yes, this is a massive cheat on my part. Obviously, I'm not moonlighting as a film publicity photographer so this is not my picture, but I forgot to take a photo when I went off to the Arts Picturehouse in Cambridge to see Quartet this morning (cinema in the middle of the day - the sheer decadence of it all!) A group of us went along to enjoy a wonderful film and to soak up some reflected glory from my friend's little daughter, Ginny, who plays the part of the visiting grand-daughter. Poor Ginny wasn't well today, so she was off school and came along with us. I think she slept through most of the film.
3GT
1. The film was fab - funny and sad and the music was lovely
2. In Waitrose this afternoon to buy provisions for Burns supper tomorrow evening, when to my horror there were only three miniscule haggises (haggi?) left on the shelf AND another lady was reaching for them at the same time. I took one. She took one. There was one left. We both admitted that we needed at least two to feed our respective parties. Both far too polite to take the last haggis, we set of in search of an assistant to ask if there might be any more in the stockroom (each clutching our single precious haggis to our chest like a mini rugby-ball for fear anyone might steal it while we searched). We were rather sheepish when the nice young lad pointed out the contents of the next shelf along - vast heaps of haggi of every possible shape and size. Over-compensating wildly, I picked out the biggest one and am now in possession of a haggis the size of a barrage balloon.
3. Will made lasagne in cooking at school today so that was tea sorted (something of a relief after the haggis incident)
I am off to see this film on Tuesday so will look out specially for Ginny. I believe the film is a cracker too. Typical English politeness of course re haggi....aren't we polite!"!!

I'm hoping they might have haggis reduced by now! I'm surprised they weren't more ruthless in Waitrose!
