Outrage by helenmoss

Outrage

On a Sunday evening, after we've polished off a roast dinner complete with Mac's Grade A yorkshires, I like to force my family to play a board game. This is usually treated with a chorus of teenage boy groans - it seems they have better things to do, like talking to their friends and playing computer games. But I bribe them with cheese (yes, it works with boys as well as dogs) and they usually cave in with good grace, knowing it's better to just get it over with. Then comes the negotiation over which game. Mac won't play Monopoly, Ed won't play Cluedo, and so it goes on. This game, called Outrage often wins the vote as it did tonight. Players compete to steal the crown jewels. It's Mac's favourite as he usually wins, but tonight Ed was triumphant. It's costing me a fortune in cambozola but I feel it's worth it for these precious family moments!

Oh I'm afraid I'm with the boys! The kids like a board game and I force myself on Boxing Day. I always do buy a new one at Christmas but the last two have been terrible (Million Pound Drop and QI). Maybe I'll seek this one out for next year!
