If you've ever wondered what Father Christmas does on Boxing Day, wonder no more! He takes part in the Grantchester Barrel Race!
Unable to drag the boys from their beds, Mac and I set off with only the dogs for support, to walk across the fields to Grantchester to watch the traditional event. Several friends were involved in the races, including Father Christmas, who did a magnificent job as first leg of the relay for our village. Lots of fun, a glass of mulled wine and a good march home before lunch!
Oh I tried to get him but alas all blurred! Nigel looks at the team sheets and knew most of them from his old rugby days but I didn't recognise the 'old versions' and he was on his way to the football. I'll drag him along next year.
