LeMay Car Museum by hjbenson

LeMay Car Museum

When we are visiting Bob & Ann, we tend to go different touristy places. In June, 2012 the LeMay Auto Museum opened up in Tacoma, WA; so I drove us up to visit it. In the center are Gail, Ann, And Bob waiting for me since I had to park the car. The lower left are Bob & Ann. The upper right is an 1911 electric car like my Grandmother had - my Grandfather put a 5 mph governor on it. There are always at least 350 cars on display - they do rotate - and I took over 200 photos :) Best Viewed Large. All individual photos are sooc
I love all of them - they are so different but the old ones bring a smile, as does Grandfather putting a governor on the car!

Beautiful collage, Harry! I'm not a person who has a lot of time for cars (as long as they work properly and safely) , but found myself being drawn into each separate image and finding plenty of interest there! Brilliant!!

Amazing collection of vintage cars, Harry. It's amazing to know that in 1911 there already was an electric car. If the manufactures had stuck to building electric cars the world would have been much cleaner today. Beautiful selection of shots and collage.

@kimmistephens Thank you Kimmi, looking at all the photos I get to relive the experience
@sangwann Thank you Dione, the electrics in the early 20th century could only be used in town, they did not have enough range
@rhos Thank you Ann, it is a great museum with all its exhibits and I highly recommend it.

Curious as to what the one in the lower middle is? I love the Fred Flintstone mobile in the lower right.
