Kristin @kph129 here is my new profile photo, I may try another one later this week. If you have any questions on your challenge you can comment here or message me on Facebook - Harry J Benson
Harry - I love this selfie... good job! Great blue tones and composition - and I like the inclusion of the camera! You must have two DSLRs?
I'm intrigued with your challenge to me. I might have some more questions, but will see if I can find some examples of that technique on the internet...
@guaranteed Thank you, I like my hat collection @kerristephens Thank you Kerri, I took several - the first one I cut off my head :) @phillyphotos Thank you Paula, I felt I needed a prop for balance @scooter Thank you Scooter, it was fun to set up
@sweetcalliope Thank you Jane, I always enjoy wearing hats @stude73 Thankyou Sandra, I normally like to be on the other side @pamfromcalgary Thank you Pam, this one I thought out :) @kph129 Thank you Kristin, I enjoyed the challenge, the camera I am holding is my original Rebel that I bought in 2004. Any questions feel free to ask
@kph129 Kristin, it is a similar technique and probably would have the same effect, plus with the technique mentioned in #1 you can use a single image. I leave the choice up to you whether to use one or two photos.
Okay, cool - I see what you're getting at... For the out-of-focus one, do you want it exactly the same composition (tripod with no movement between photos) or does it work better if you have a slight shift in the view?
@bruni Thank you Bruni, if it wasn't for the push I would not have done it @sangwann Thank you Dione, it is all a mirage :) @cindyrez Thank you Cindy, I had Gail point to where the top of the hat went on the post to help me :)
Nice shot Harry. It's so interesting to see people as they change their profile photos. You have one image instilled in your mind, then that image evolves when a new shot is posted. I like the hat.
I like this one a lot better. I've seen other shots of you over the past 2 years and I think this one better represents my mental image of what you look like than did your old shot.

Is the technique described in #1 blur/overlay kind of what you are suggesting?
@sangwann Thank you Dione, it is all a mirage :)
@cindyrez Thank you Cindy, I had Gail point to where the top of the hat went on the post to help me :)
@marilyn Thank you Marilyn, I much prefer the other side of the camera ;)
