We went to Aloenrose Dairyville in Portland, Oregon. They have an area that is a replica of a western frontier town. With an old-time ice cream parlor that features their ice cream, which - of course - I had to try. It was good.
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri, it was a lovely afternoon @taffy Thank you Taffy, the Portland area has a lot of hills - unlike home - that give great layering @maggiemae Thank you Maggie, at one time it was and they are preserving the heritage here @salza Thank you Sandy, the ice cream just made the beautiful day better :)
@sangwann Thank you Dione, I was never one to turn down ice cream, particularly in the summer @dishaparekh176 Thank you Disha, had beautiful lighting here @archaeofrog Thank you Katie, we had a good time :)
Ha ha.. "Aloenrose" That's a new one on me, although I can see how the sign looks like that with the flowers obscuring the bottom of the "P." The restaurant my husband works for gets all their dairy from there, and held their company picnic at the grounds there a few years ago. Glad you had a "sweet" time in our neck of the woods!
