This is the spot where the Pilgrims landed when they arrived off the coast of Massachusetts in 1620. Plymouth rock is located just off this beach, enshrined in under a monument.
@amandal Take a jacket, it was very cold when we were there Friday. We really only saw Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower 2 sitting in the bay. We wanted to go to Plymouth Plantation, but every time we planned the trip last fall, something happened to stop it, then the weather got to cold. Now we are out of time. Eleven months just isn't enough time to see everything in New England.
This takes me back. I was there in 2003 and had a wonderful American holiday staying with a friend in Falmouth. We saw so many wonderful historical places.
@elisasaeter Thanks! @ceilidh That must have been a great vacation. We love seeing all the historical sites where ever we go. @joansmor I wish we could have seen more of it, but we just ran out of time.
@homeschoolmom It is rather odd that that comment of mine showed up on this picture. I like this photo, but that comment was written for your photo of the trees... Oh well :)
