In preparation for "hurricane" Arthur, which is due to hit late tonight, we had to remove all the moving boxes out of our enclosed porch so they didn't get wet. As I was returning from my final run to the recycling center, realized that the south side of town had received a fairly good rain, puddles everywhere. We got out three pickup truck loads of boxes and paper to the recycling center just in time. And I made it back in time to take some great pictures of the dripping trees in our yard.
@charmboxstudios Thanks! My husband was supposed to get a 4-day weekend, now he's on stand-by in case it gets too bad. So, I hope we just get some much-needed rain and that is all.
Talk about getting right in to the swing of things! Are you near the coast or further inland? I hope you're basically out of the line of fire- although we were supposed to be removed from Hurricane Sandy and that was exactly not what happened!
@olivetreeann We are two hours from the coast. We had a little rain last night, but no wind. Today the sun is out and it's beautiful outside. It missed us.
