They are starting to harvest the cotton, but so far I haven't been able to actually get a picture of the machine in the field. Probably won't since we are leaving town tomorrow morning. But, here's the cotton all baled up. As you can see from the large pickup behind it, it's HUGE. The giant bales of hay are easily 8 or 9 feet wide, 8 or 9 feet high and 20+ feet long. There are 4 of these giant cotton bales sitting by the field that I normally photograph. That's a ton of cotton.
@axika Watching the cotton has fascinated me. First time I've seen it, too. @sarasdadandmom Now that harvest is over, I'm going to have to find another subject to obsess on! LOL! @summerfield Lifetime supply for our whole town! LOL! @ladygator Oh, I would love to see a cotton gin at work. I'll have to look once we are back from Thanksgiving vacation. I have to see that. @mittens@randystreat@eyeamlisa@kwind@paulam@ceilidh@linnypinny Thanks! @sangwann I thought they were semi trailers at first! LOL! @francoise Welcome to my homeschool class! LOL!
