A ton of cotton!

They are starting to harvest the cotton, but so far I haven't been able to actually get a picture of the machine in the field. Probably won't since we are leaving town tomorrow morning. But, here's the cotton all baled up. As you can see from the large pickup behind it, it's HUGE. The giant bales of hay are easily 8 or 9 feet wide, 8 or 9 feet high and 20+ feet long. There are 4 of these giant cotton bales sitting by the field that I normally photograph. That's a ton of cotton.
Oh this is crazy cool. and I thought it came in plastic bags;-).

Very cool! All the time I've seen cotton fields growing up and school field trip to a cotton gin, I never saw this stage!

@axika Watching the cotton has fascinated me. First time I've seen it, too.
@sarasdadandmom Now that harvest is over, I'm going to have to find another subject to obsess on! LOL!
