Weather watch! by homeschoolmom

Weather watch!

Been snowing off and on at my in-laws' house. This weather station on their roof gives them detailed info at a receiver inside the house so they can track the weather. My FIL used to do a lot of ammateur radio so he tracked the weather to know how to boost his signal with the large tower in his back yard. He talks to friends all over the world this way.
I love this. Great pov, colors and a perfect poem to go with it.

What a good idea and I'm sure it's as least as accurate as the official weather forecast!

My grandfather was a farmer. He had a barometer and was pretty good at predicting the weather but this is a real step up from that.

@olivetreeann Hahaha! That's how I do it, too!
@aponi His weather station measures temp, barometer, humidity, rainfall, wind speed. It's quite elaborate. But, he loves all this electronic gadgets.
@digitalrn When my husband was in Desert Storm, he was able to figure out where my husband was by studying the weather patterns my hubby told them about in letters. He put his experience in Military Intelligence from back when he was in the Army in the 50s and combined it with his hi-tech weather monitoring that he does all over the world and got a pretty good idea of where he was.

We can tell by watching the behaviour of the little black ants.

Beautiful shot. Would love to have a gadget like this to know the exact weather. I am on a project of water guilding and need to know the correct humidity before I start work.
