Table top mushroom

My find from my walk today. My question is, did it grow that way, or did a lawn mower chop the top off?

It does look quite weird. I think maybe you are correct and it was cut by the lawn mower.

Certainly looks sliced. But it's a big one. Rich texture on the sides.

I've had several in my yard like this- not as big though- and believe it or not, they grow that way.
