Field of ivy! by homeschoolmom

Field of ivy!

Recently, I posted an old abandoned house covered in ivy (red arrow points to the house, barely visible without a zoom lens). Everyone seemed to be shocked by the amount of ivy on it. Well, this is the field across from it. The house is across the road and back in a field about 200 yards away or more. But, in one of the photos, you could see some of this ivy at the bottom of it. This is a panorama of the field. This is common here in central NC. this stuff creates a jungle, as you can see. My son often jokes that we have it all right here, desert and rainforest, as this area is in the Sandhills, there are lots of cacti, it's dry, but it's very humid and there are jungles like this, many impenetrable due to the thick brush and vines. In the center of this panorama, you can see trees covered in ivy.

Beautiful shot, Lisa. The ivy looks really big.

Great view- left unchecked the ivy will probably kill the trees. But it does look pretty.
