I would say it's still summer in Kansas, too.
Lisa, we're get pushed partners. Looking through the long list of challenges you've already done, I began to despair of finding anything different (and I had to scan carefully to see if I'd already given you a challenge I had in mind. Yep! I had. Arggh
Anyway, here's what I have for you. We know that today is Labor Day here in the U.S. anyway. But did you know it is also Skyscraper Day? Here are a list of this weeks "official" days you can celebrate by picking one and making an appropriate photo (I won't insist you take the photo on the right day, though of course you'd get more points if you do.) The numbers are the day of the month:
3 Labor Day First Monday of month
3 Skyscraper Day
4 Newspaper Carrier Day
5 Be Late for Something Day
5 Cheese Pizza Day
6 Fight Procrastination Day
6 Read a Book Day
7 National Salami Day
7 Neither Rain nor Snow Day
8 International Literacy Day
8 National Date Nut Bread Day - or December 22!?
8 Pardon Day
9 Grandparent's Day - first Sunday after Labor Day
9 National Pet Memorial Day -second Sunday in September
9 Rosh Hashanah - begins at sundown, date varies
9 Teddy Bear Day
Here's where I found them: http://www.holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/september.htm
How does that sound? I look forward to what you come up with for me.
@mcsiegle Haha! I just had the same issue giving you a challenge. We've done them all. This is a good one. I'll have lots to choose from, but it won't be skyscraper day, as there are no skyscrapers close to me, thank goodness! LOL!
@mcsiegle You'll enjoy this. When people here complain about NC's summers, I tell them, well, at least it isn't Kansas hot yet! LOL! We came close this summer, though. And I think the people here would die if they had to live through a Kansas winter! LOL!
