A light in the world

Last night, we went to the Occoneechee Boy Scout Council's Eagle Banquet for 2018, honoring all 496 of the council's Eagle Scouts (although not all of them attended). They called them in one at a time. like in a graduation ceremony. When they were done, the boys almost circled the room. The keynote speaker told them that the key to being a good leaders is to take care of your people. If you take care of your people, they will take care of you. And, he would know. Also an Eagle Scout, eh was a Navy Seal for many years, then went to medical school. He then joined the Army and became the command surgeon for Delta Force. As their doctor, he actually delivered one of the Eagle Scouts in attendance last night.
great story for this photo which is terrific with nice light from the candle

That sounds like an inspiring evening for these young men who have worked so hard for this award. I like seeing all those candles lit around the room.
