Cheery Cherry or Crabby Apple?

Yesterday when I was out, I noticed that the trees around town were in full blossom because of the near summer temperatures we have had this week. I'm just not sure if they are cherry blossoms or crabapple!

@joansmor Most of the crabapple pics I found online were white, but some were pink like this. I think this is a cherry blossom. I'm just not good at identifying trees, except for hardwoods and pines! LOL!

The foliage & bark will help with the ID, but it may be tricky. Plums and cherries are both "Prunus" while crabapple is "Malus"

I'm voting for Cherry- the trees I remember from my project that looked like this were Cherry trees.

@olivetreeann Yes, I'm thinking cherry, too. It has red leaves, not green.
