I have no idea what kind of turtle this is, except that based on his mouth, it's probably a snapper. It's shell is tiny compared to his head and legs. He was sitting on top of a pond drain. His shell was probably 8-10 inches from front to back. He most definitely isn't one of the cute little turtles I'm used to finding at this pond. He looks like he's been buried in the clay for a while.
