At first, I thought these were satellites, then I found out they were planets. Had to get a picture of them. So, here's the view of Jupiter and Venus from my front yard.
Hummmm, looks like the time is off on my camera again, as it was about 11 p.m. when I took this picture, not 8 (still daylight then).
Venus and Jupiter have been visible most of the year- sometimes closer together and other times like this. It's intriguing to think that the light of the sun can reach them and reflect brightly enough so that we can see them! I took a close-up of Venus in April.
