Ivy-covered carriage house by homeschoolmom

Ivy-covered carriage house

I drive past this old B&B every day. And now I have an excuse to get pictures of it. My Get Pushed challenge this week is a monochrome shot. So, I thought that would be perfect for this old historic buildings. This one is the carriage house. It was originally built by a railroad official in the early 1880s and was owned by A.A.F. Seawell Jr., in the 1920s. Seawell went on to become Attorney General and a Supreme Court Justice for the state of North Carolina.
love the agedness of it - the peeling paint, overgrown vines and saggy shutter.

@randystreat I'm not sure how old the carriage house is, but I'm guessing it probably dates back to the 1880s as well.

@lafish Thanks so much for the FAV!
@cgoose I had no idea most of these buildings were by the old bed and breakfast. You can't see them from the road because of the trees. It was a great find. Glad I took the time to go back and get some pictures of it.
