Found the blue heron out at the little pond again today. I can't believe it let me drive right up beside it and take a picture. I was only about 5 feet from it. I even got out of the car and took some pictures before it finally flew to the other side. They are not the most graceful birds. In fact, when it landed on the bank, I expected it to roll end over end because it looked like it was coming in for a crash landing.
