I'm not sure why this bridge is historic, but rumor has it that bigfoot has been sighted in the area. Which is why the park holds a Bigfoot Festival every year (cancelled last year because park was still flooded). Two years ago, my older son was runner up in the big foot contest with his size 13 feet.
