264 - Today was a grey, damp and foggy day, so on my walk round the lake and past the school on Clifton Moor, there were dozens of spiders webs, dotted with water droplets. I've never tried to photograph a spiders web before, so here is a shot chosen from a selection that I took this morning.
I'm dying to get one of these Ian, but have not see one yet! This is so pretty almost perfect in shape with all the dew and that lovely coloured bookeh!
Thank you Frida - best time to get a web shot is either when it's foggy, because then the water droplets build up, or when its frosty, when they develop a nice white coating.
Thank you Tanja, glad you like it. This was an interesting first go at web shots. This one is ok, but lots of the others were rubbish, so there is still more to learn!
Thank you kaseja, I thought you might like this one!
If it helps, my daily 365 routine is:
1) post my shot for the day
2) Go to home page and find my shot from previous day. Comment on all the shots others have posted between my yesterday and today shot.
3) Reply to all comments on my previous days shot
4) If there is any time left, browse latest, popular and new faces
5) If there's any more time look under Discuss, Latest and read and comment on interesting discussions (this is quite a good way of getting known)
By then I'm usually ready for a break! I hope this helps.
@if1 thanks, Ian, glad to be more introduced to latest. I'm in grad school and some days am lucky just to get a shot taken and posted. I will check out discussions when i have time and i appreciate your tips!
I understand your time constraints. I'm fortunate that I'm retired and can really devote time to this when I want to! I look forward to seeing more of your shots, and to hearing some constructive criticism from you on my shots too.

Thank you Malin. The drops weren't too big - the web was quite small and this is a pretty close close-up, so it's a bit deceptive.
