281 - Naphill Common is a beautiful area of open access woodland about 4 miles north of High Wycombe. I've included a shot from part of this common before ( http://365project.org/if1/365/2012-06-29) but that was at the height of summer. Now, most of the trees are bare, and the paths are very muddy.
Most of the trees here are beech and oak, and there is quite a lot of holly growing around them.
Naphill Common one of the largest commons in the Chilterns, 155 acres (63 hectares) of woodland, paths, bridleways and open glades - all available for public use.
Nicely captured Ian, it looks like many of these places as used in British crime shows on the TV, Inspector Morse, New Tricks, Waking the Dead, Silent Witness, etc
Thank you Tony. I'm not aware of this woodland being used for filming, but a number of TV series are filmed in the Chilterns area. My daughter came across filming for a new series of Endeavour (about the young Morse) somewhere nearby recently.
