334 - I've included a shot of the exterior of Barley Hall before ( http://365project.org/if1/365/2012-11-12) but this is the first shot of the interior to appear. A brief history of the building is included with the earlier shot.
This shot is of the Great Hall, originally built around 1430 as part of an extension to the original building of 1360, and further remodelled around 1515.
One of the really nice things about a visit here is the presence of knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers in the various rooms who are more than willing to discuss the building an its history. They make a visit here a fascinating experience.
Thank you Kd, this is a lovely building to have a wander round. There is a fascinating costume display on the upper floors at the moment, featuring clothes from a range of films (mainly historical recreations)

Thank you for your positive comments - I'm glad you've enjoyed the Resident's Weekend as much as I did!
Thank you Vesna - it's a very interesting building.
