It was built in 1783 for miller Richard Maws.
Wow a beautiful capture!

I always wanted to live in either a windmill or a lighthouse when I was a child. I had a thing about round buildings, but I don't think my knees would cope with all the stairs these days.

A lovely shot of this impressive old mill - fav! There are quite a few that still survive, including one in York on a roundabout in the middle of a road - it has been restored and still works as well, and is open to visitors.
