Meet Shadow

On Wednesday my 13yr old son had a fever and stayed home. When I checked on him I smelled something strange in his bedroom.
It came from the closet and turned out to be the cutest baby rabbit ever....
He had found it in front of the Elementary school and taken it home about a week earlier. It was living in a homemade cage in his walk-in-closet. A friend gave him some rabbit food. He cleaned everything and we have it in the bottom of the dog crate now. However, the little one is a real Houdini, because it escaped the his make shift cage and even gets out the open dog crate...
A friend was interested, but he has not heard from him yet... a permanent solution ( a real cage or somebody who can adopt Shadow) is needed here...
My husband/daddy doesn't know yet...

My sister and brother-in-law have a black rabbit. He's very spoiled! They make great pets.

Aww, it is soooo cute!! This is so funny, when I was younger my brother's friend gave us a mouse as a pet. We kept it in a box under my bed and let run all around my bedroom.. My mother got suspicious as to why we were spending so much time in the bedroom and found it. She bought a cage and we kept it and actually ended up having a few of them as pets. Hope you manage to sort something out .....What do the doggies think of it? & does your hubby know yet?

@stephanies We told my husband Saturday night - at first he was angry, but nobody can me angry long at/for a tiny cutey like this.
Rango is interested to play with it, but we are afraid he is too big and clumsy. Dino wanted to chase it. So we'll keep the dogs away as it is so small.
We have not bought a cage yet as we are still hoping a friend will take it (although the girls would like it to stay).

@homeschoolmom - we're still waiting for my son's friend to take it, although my girls (and obviously my son) would like it to stay. This one is getting spoiled already.
