To catch up and to have some texture I took a picture of the outside of our chimney. It was quite boring, so I played in Photoshop and made a heart (edit/transform/warp and adjustments/levels & curves).
@henrir - basically everything in Photoshop works with layers. I just copied the background layer. In between the background and the copy I added a layer for levels and another one for curves (in adjustments) and played with it in order to make the background appear a bit lighter.
Then with the copied layer active I clicked on edit/transform/warp and pulled and pushed until I was happy with the shape of my heart.
Hope this helps. In the summer I had some time and tried a some fun Photoshop tutorials. It always seemed a lot easier (following a 5 minute Youtube video) took me hours, but it was fun and helps me with things like this.
